SPACE

Have an idea for an art exhibition or event? We’ll find you the space.

APIARY ROOM finds emerging artists the gallery space to exhibit new works. Instead of believing that only experienced curators should have the freedom to tell a story through an exhibit, APIARY ROOM strives to give curators of all levels the chance to gain experience planning, organizing, and installing art shows. APIARY ROOM wants every artist and curator to find their voice and to create a dialogue with the local community.

Whether it's a poetry reading, a film screening of local talent, or a viola quartet performance, we want to provide artists of all mediums the chance to showcase their art and to create an impact on their community.

CREATIVITY

Art is a catalyst for social change. Why not use art as a tool to stimulate a dialogue between the artist, the community member, and the entire globe about public issues that impact our rights, well-being, and interpersonal relationships? We value art that seeks to educate and bring about social change in the areas of economic, social, and political issues.

FILM as a medium for social change

After discovering a disparity between available resources for local filmmakers in the Cleveland area, APIARY ROOM founded APIARY ROOM PRODUCTIONS, a production company dedicated to providing support to rising talent in media, video, film, and performing arts.

APIARY ROOM PRODUCTIONS has supported and valued film and media-based art, such as

  • documentary films that spread cultural awareness and attempt to impact global social issues

  • fiction films, video art, and new media that address critically important social topics, such as healthcare, mental health, immigration, economic issues, and the environment

PUBLIC ART as a medium for social change

Art is more than beauty. It makes an impact.

APIARY ROOM is currently in the stages of developing a mural program. Check back soon to hear more about our upcoming public art programs, which will: cultivate a relationship between citizens and their local communities, educate youth on the importance of art as a tool for self-expression and transmission of ideas, and inspire individuals to have a voice in their community.
